Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. She is best recognized for her character of Violet Plunkett from the CBS comedy series 'Mom.' An California native, Calvano was initially interested in competitive gymnastics. She later decided to pursue a career acting. Her first screen appearance was an episode in 2010 of CBS's 'NCIS. The following year her first major-screen debut made it into the biographical crime film J Edgar. In the ensuing years she's made herself known to be one of the top young actors in the industry today. In 2011, she was awarded an award for a Young Artist Award nomination for the top Actress on a TV Series as Guest Actress 11-15. Her role as a guest on Disney XD's comedy "Kickin' It' was nominated yet again for the Young Artist Award. Calvano starred in Mom's first three seasons, and was also a guest on several occasions throughout the fourth. The role she played in "Mom" garnered her the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in the year 2015.
